  3. Abhyanga: A therapeutic massage using medicated oils that helps increase circulation to the affected areas, strengthens the muscles, and corrects vata imbalance. It can enhance the mobility of the paralyzed limbs.

  4. Swedana: This involves localized fomentation or steam therapy, which helps improve blood flow to the affected parts, reduces vata, and enhances mobility. It also aids in opening the pores and eliminating toxins from the body.

  5. Pizhichil: In this treatment, warm medicated oils are poured in a gentle stream over the body while massaging simultaneously. It helps strengthen the nerves, reduce vata, and alleviate pain and swelling.

  6. Pinda sweda: This therapy uses medicinal boluses made of herbs and rice cooked in medicated oils. It helps reduce infection, lower ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate) levels, and improve muscle power.

  7. Basti: Also known as enema therapy, it is used to reduce vata dosha, alleviate pain, and improve metabolism. Different types of medicated enemas are administered based on the patient's condition.

  8. Shiro pichu: This treatment involves applying a medicated oil-soaked cloth on the forehead. It aids in concentration, reduces slurred speech, enhances memory, and helps manage stress and blood pressure.

  9. Shiro dhara: Warm medicated oil is poured gently in a continuous stream over the forehead. It is beneficial for controlling blood pressure, managing stress, and reducing insomnia.

  10. Nasya: Administering medicated oils or herbal powders through the nasal passages helps stimulate the pituitary gland, balance hormones, and improve sleep patterns.
